I love this. I'm a huge planner, but have gradually been abandoning it altogether as every time I make a plan, life throws a curve ball and disrupts it. Also, when I plan I'm always head-lead, not feelings -lead or in touch with my body. So I've gravitated towards the only thing that works for me. To take life literally one day at a time and simply ask, 'whats right for my body and heart today?' What's interesting is that doing what's right every day can turn into a completed project, but one that grew organically, rather than was forced. It also allows for fluctuations in my chronic health problems to be included, rather than resented. It is soft and slow! Re January goal setting, I read a nice piece recently about how unnatural, literally, this is. Only humans do it, nature doesn't. In January, animals are still hibernating, bulbs are still buried, trees are leafless. Nature waits till Spring to wake up and get going - we could do the same if we only allowed our self the grace to take January gently.... So that's my intention this year.

I love hearing this, Aniela! Yes. I feel this way, too, about aligning more with the rhythm of nature. Especially the quiet at this time of year. I am finding that so soothing (rather than annoying). Because I know there will be busy times in other seasons! When we replenish and listen, we have energy for the leaps. I love that you are orienting to your body & heart. They are so wise. And they steer you well. ♥️

I love this too! I’ve been writing my astrology posts about Mars + Mercury as a series of plot points in an adventure narrative and it’s been SO fun and so… idk like Me! It makes more sense and it orients the reader in the astrology in a tangible and exciting way- as the hero in their own story! Well that’s how I feel when I write them, no one has told me that 😂

I love that you write about them this way! I also love imagining Mars + Mercury being buddies on the adventure trail. Mars blazing forward and Mercury commenting and chatting with everyone. Maybe even narrating their adventures! How fabulous! I have subscribed ... and I look forward to more starry adventures and quests. 😍

Love this Kate! I'm on a softer quest this year, to honour my creative inner child and live the life that she chose not to for a number of reasons. I do plan to finish my 5th book this year but I'm holding that lightly and not forcing anything!

Hurray! I am with you. Gently enjoying my moves. And really cultivating the actions that fill me with excitement & joy. It feels SO lovely. Less pushing and more floating. I am excited about your next book! And I, too, have one being being published and another (fiction this time) that is percolating. The heroine has been nudging me to come back and write! 🧡

That's it! Absolutely brilliant. Forget goals, I'm only on quests from here on out!😂✨ Kate, you speak to my heart. I have only recently realized that I am absolutely that person that thrives creatively with more question marks than answers. There's definitely a planner in me, but when I put too much pressure on myself to follow rules that someone else made, it never ends well. One of my favorite things about January is the quiet and turning inward. This year, I'm trying to embrace a slower pace and following a more intuitive path with my creative rhythms and structures.💖

Oh Maria. You are so lovely. And I, too, enjoy the quiet in January. Combined with the whispers of moving forward. Questions are so much fun. And the heart of curiosity! The gentle January is my jam this year. I'm delighted to be here with you. 🧡

I like the idea of quests! My big quest is getting published, which involves lots of little quests!

Lee, that is SO exciting! And yes. Getting published is definitely full of little quests. I wish you joy in each one.
